Benefits Consulting Group came to be in the early to mid 1990’s; it evolved from our financial planning and consulting work with corporate clients. During our yearly financial statement reviews we often saw how “employee benefit costs” continued to take an increasingly important place in our client conversations; this had become one of the largest fixed expenses in their business budget. While we initially tried to marginalize and/or refer the Benefits portion of the business, it was not until we incorporated benefits analysis, design and implementation into our practice that we became a full service financial firm.
